In 1898, there was an ordinary girl
named Marry. She lived with her mother in a big city in England which almost
everything was available, including a school where Marry learnt many things.
One morning, Marry’s teacher read a
story about a magic ring. The ring was owned by a witch from West who was
called Matilda, the magic finger. Matilda could do some evil magic only using
her finger. Since her finger used that magic ring, she did not need a magic
wand to curse her enemies. Then, she became a greatest wizard around the world.
However, when fighting with a young wizard from the East, Matilda lost her balance
which caused her fell into the ground. The young wizard pointed her magic wand
to Matilda’s finger where the ring circling. She took the ring that fell beside
the moaning Matilda. Then, she brought it far away from the fighting field.
Now, the ring was kept in the National Museum in the center of the city.
Actually, Marry was not really interested in the story because she had already
seen the ring in the museum, and it was the worst ring she had ever seen.
In the afternoon, Marry went home
and found a note hanging on her room’s door. There, her mother wrote that she
had to go to village to visit her sick brother. She apologized to her daughter
because she was in a hurry and could not ask her to join. Marry was sad in the
beginning, but she realize that many things she could do during her solitude in her house.
